  • Inclusivity And Standing Orders

A PLACE FOR SELF EXPRESSION, EXPLORATION & UNIVERSAL COMMON SENSE.

Hopkins Creek is an inclusive space completely void of judgement, harassment or discrimination of any sort. We take pride in creating an environment in which everyone has the right to feel safe and comfortable at all times. Antisocial behaviour will simply not be tolerated. If you do happen to witness anything ill-natured we urge you to communicate with our staff who will handle the situation appropriately.

A COBBER IN NEED IS A COBBER INDEED

A light, a leg up, a lift home… a little bit of work amongst ourselves goes a long way. The Hopkins spirit we have come to know & love is only achieved through significant camaraderie. Send it out, get it back.

    BYO MANNERS

Essential packing! Please & thank you make the world go round. We never know what kind of day someone’s had – stay patient, stay cool. We are in the business of making days not breaking them, please remember to play a nice fair game with all in your path. Good morning (& in case I don’t see you) good afternoon, good evening & goodnight.

    PRIVACY & DANCE FLOOR NOUS

As with any sacred space, the dance floor is device free. Hopkins Creek is a rare opportunity to be present with the music, the land & each other – relish it. As humans we are fortunate to have evolved with two HD cameras located in the sockets on our face, trust them to make your memories. Spatial awareness is also paramount, Hopkins Creek is not a place for sticks, poles or obstructions of any sort.

  • Breath Testing, Police & Safety

    BREATH TESTING

Back again doing the Lord’s work is Blow Me First — offering free breath testing, info, and advice to all drivers. They’ll also have paid drug testing facilities available for anyone who wants to use them before leaving site. If you’re unsure, don’t guess — go see them. You’d be daft not to.

    POLICE

Police will be active on the roads all weekend, especially Monday. Driving with drugs or alcohol in your system is both dangerous and illegal. Blow Me First is onsite providing free breath testing, utilise them for peace of mind. The risk is never worth it.

    WANDERING

To the north lies the Puckapunyal Ranges – wild, vast, and strictly off-limits. Across the road is the Puckapunyal military area, where trespassing comes with serious consequences. Keep your adventures on the fun side of the fence.

    SHELTER IN PLACE

In the majority of emergency situations, the safest move is to stay put. Calmly follow directions to the safest area depending on circumstances. Our designated shelter-in-place area is around the dam and Rumour Mill in the main arena.

    WATER

Straight from the town supply. Drinking water stations are located throughout the site. Bring a reusable bottle or vessel and keep it topped up across the weekend. Future you will be grateful.
